The Hopi Prophecy

Once every year or so I reprint a commentary on the Hopi Prophecy that was written by one of it's 'keepers', Thomas Benyaka, back in the 1980's, and was given to one of my dear Taoist teachers, Stephen Russell (RIP). This commentary addresses the times we now find ourselves living in. The Hopi Prophecys teaching is now calling us more urgently than ever before, and though it was written over a thousand years ago, it remains a blueprint for what we can do in our own lives to trust the flow of the river of Life (the Tao), and move in harmony with the challenges that the earth is now going through. As we face the destruction of our natural world, and feel the uncertainty and upheaval grow around, and within us by the day, we can draw on the wisdom of those who have gone before us, and use the keys they gave us to navigate the rough waters ahead.

As this commentary points out so powerfully; during times of gathering darkness (unconsciousness), WE must be the ones to bring the Light to the the world; gather together with like-minded souls and celebrate the Life we have been given; in joy and gratitude. We must also be careful not to allow ourselves to fall into despair or take things so personally. No matter what form of negativity we encounter, WE must be the bringers of peace, harmony, Light and Love.

Whether you have read this before, or it is your first time, I know the truth of this message will comfort and uplift your Spirit. I also encourage you to reach out to those around you with whom you resonate spiritually, and gather strength, courage and joy by coming together and celebrating the evolution we are now moving through, for "the time of the lone wolf is over." One thing is certain; we are not going backwards; and those who try and hold on to the past will, "feel that they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly." We must remember that, "the river has a destination," which will reveal itself moment by moment, breath by breath in the Great Spirit.

WE ARE THE ONES WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR

We have been telling people that this is the eleventh hour.

It is time to speak your Truth.

Create your community, be good to each other,

and do not look outside yourself for the leader.

There is a river flowing now very fast,

it is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.

They will try and hold onto the shore,

they will feel that they are being torn apart and

they will suffer greatly.

Know that the river has a destination.

The elders say we must let go of the shore,
