The Ease of Meditation

In today's challenging world, we can find ourselves easily overwhelmed by stress and anxiety, and increasingly distracted by the ever-changing dramas around us. Many are longing for a return to the peace and simplicity that they know are possible, and a letting go of the fear and worry that constantly consumes their minds. Yet, we have been told by every sage and spiritual teacher since the beginning of time that the key to finding the ease and freedom that we long for is through the regular practice of meditation, which brings us to the stillness and silence that lie within.

 

Whether you are new to meditation or a longtime practitioner, you will find the opportunity in our meditation classes to relax, rest and return to the ease and flow of the present moment (the Tao). Even if you have tried meditation before, and found it to be a struggle, you can easily rediscover the effortless ability to let go of the busy mind and rediscover the peace and fulfillment that you long for.

                 Life Force Qigong

 

In today's stressful world, many are looking for a way to slow down, relax, and reconnect with the flow of their bodies, and the world around them. Often called 'meditation in motion' the gentle and easy movements of Qigong have been shown to increase energy (Qi), reduce stress, and bring peace of mind. Regular practice has also been shown to boost the immune system, lower blood pressure, and calm the nervous system. This class is open to beginners as well as advanced practitioners and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

 Living the Wisdom of the I Ching

Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads in your life, and feeling uncertain about which way to go? Have you ever wished that you had access to a source of wisdom that could assist you in those times when you feel confused and lost?

​

    If you have, or if you just wish to know and develop your own intuitive understanding of the situations that develop in your life, then plan on joining us for a new 4 week study course on the I Ching (pronounced ee jing), or Book of Changes, the 3,000 year old manual that has been called the 'wisest book ever written'. The I Ching has been used for millennia as a source of guidance to navigate all of life's turning points - both personal and spiritual - that we encounter on our path along the way.

   In this class, we will review the history of the I Ching, it's Taoist roots, and most importantly, how to cast a question, and interpret the answers that are received, as well as how to apply this wisdom to the challenges we are going through.

​

   This class will be open to just 9 students, and in order to participate you will need to purchase three different translations of the I Ching, as well as various tools to assist you in casting a question and answer. You will need these books and tools on the day class begins or you will not be able to participate. Also, attendance in all four classes (unless an unseen emergency arises ) is mandatory.
